被引用回数：2 パーセンタイル：11.98(Biodiversity Conservation)The Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011 generated a series of massive tsunami waves that caused severe damage to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, following which a large amount of radioactive materials was discharged from the power plant into the environment. Given the recently developed technologies for unmanned helicopters and their potential application in airborne radiation monitoring, we developed a radiation monitoring system for aerial use. We then used unmanned helicopters to measure the radiation level in areas with soil contaminated by radioactive cesium emitted from the nuclear power plant to evaluate the ambient dose-rate distribution around the site. We found that in dry riverbeds near the nuclear power plant, the dose rate was higher than that in landside areas. In addition, we carried out soil sampling in dry riverbeds. The results did not contradict the results measured by unmanned helicopter. As a result, a possible scenario is that river sediment and adjacent soil containing radioactive materials were carried from the upstream to the downstream due to an event such as a rise in water caused by a typhoon, etc., and remained in the riverbed after the water drained away. The vertical profile of radioactive materials in the soil and the measurement results for river sediment at river mouth areas corroborated the scenario.

被引用回数：78 パーセンタイル：91.98(Environmental Sciences)Comparative analysis is provided for radiocesium wash-off parameters and Kd between suspended matter and water in rivers and surface runoff on Fukushima and Chernobyl contaminated areas for the first years after the accidents. It was found that radiocesium distribution coefficient in Fukushima rivers is essentially higher than those in Chernobyl. This can be associated with two factors: a higher RIP of samples in Fukushima and the presence of water insoluble glassy particles. It was found also that dissolved wash-off coefficients for Fukushima catchments are lower than those in Chernobyl. Particulate wash-off coefficients are comparable for Fukushima and Chernobyl. The radiocesium migration in undisturbed forest and grassland soils at Fukushima has been shown to be faster than those in Chernobyl. Investigation and analysis of radiocesium distribution in soils of Niida river catchment revealed accumulation of contaminated sediments on its floodplain.

1994年7月27日から8月8日までの12日間、カナダチョークリバー研究所においてトリチウムガス(HT)の野外連続放出実験を行った。本報告では、実験概要を述べるとともに、主にカナダと日本が測定した空気、土壌、植物中のトリチウム濃度の結果をまとめた。空気中へHTを12日間ほぼ一定濃度で放出した結果、土壌表面層でトリチウム水(HTO)が生成されること、土壌、植物及び空気中のHTO濃度は時間とともに増加したが、放出期間の終り頃(約10日目以降)にはほぼ定常状態に到達したこと、植物中の有機結合型トリチウムは定常状態には到達せず、増加を続けたこと等が明らかとなった。

1994年7~8月のカナダトリチウムガス野外連続放出実験において採取した土壌と植物のHT酸化活性を実験室で測定した。自然地で採取した表層土壌(0~5cm)の酸化活性は耕地の約3倍であった。また、自生植物(ゴールデンロッド)と小松菜の酸化活性は、耕地の表層土壌の活性の、それぞれ約2と0.4%であった。放出開始後の数日間は、耕地の表層土壌中の水分のHTO濃度は、空気や小松菜中水分のHTO濃度よりも低かったが、その後小松菜中水分の濃度の約2倍に増加した。

F-TRACEプロジェクトの目的は、土壌粒子に強く吸着された放射性核種が森林から海まで河川水系を通しての移動挙動を予測する現象論モデルを開発し、被ばく線量の変化を評価、移動を抑制する方法を提案することである。本研究では、福島沿岸域の一つの河川水系を対象に、放射性セシウムの挙動を概観した。その結果、90%以上のセシウムが森林表土の表面から5cm以内に存在し、湖水中のセシウム濃度が極めて低いことから、河川水系における移動において、放射性セシウムは土壌粒子に強吸着されていると考えられた。また、河川水系中の堆積物の放射性セシウム濃度の違いは、セシウム吸着のサイト密度に及ぼす粒径の影響で説明できる。

森林における高濃度放射性セシウム含有微粒子(CsMPs)の(鉛直)分布や土壌中Cs濃度への寄与を評価すると共に、降雨時の河川へのCsMPs流入と懸濁態Cs濃度,分配係数に与える影響を評価することを目的とし、高瀬川流域を対象に調査を行った。調査の結果、CsMPsは森林土壌の表層に多くがとどまるが、表層の土壌中Cs濃度への寄与は数%程度であった。また、河川水中の懸濁態Cs濃度や分配係数に及ぼす影響は限定的であることが示された。
